What is a Luxury Transfer in Bali?
A luxury transfer in Bali is a private chauffeured ground-transport service performed in a premium-segment vehicle (Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Toyota Alphard, or similar) by a professionally trained English-speaking driver. It includes airport meet-and-greet at Ngurah Rai International (DPS), bottled water, cold towels, child seats on request, USB charging, and Wi-Fi. Unlike taxi or ride-hail apps, the vehicle is reserved for your party only with no shared use, and the driver is dedicated to your itinerary including waiting time at intermediate stops. - How far in advance should I book my Bali luxury transfer?
- For Toyota Alphard or Mercedes Sprinter, 24–48 hours’ lead time is sufficient outside high season. For Mercedes-Benz S-Class or BMW X7 we recommend 7 days in advance, and during high season (June–August, December–January) up to 14 days to guarantee specific vehicle assignment. Last-minute bookings within 12 hours are accepted based on dispatch reserve capacity, with no surcharge. Confirmation email is issued within 60 minutes 08:00–22:00 WITA.
- What happens if my flight is delayed?
- We track your flight by IATA flight number in real time and automatically adjust pickup time for delays up to four hours at no additional cost. The driver will be at the Ngurah Rai International arrivals gate 30 minutes before your revised landing time. For delays beyond four hours please update us by WhatsApp on +62 811 3941 4563 so we can reassign the driver and confirm coverage. Diverted flights to Surabaya or Lombok are accommodated by replanning a connecting transfer at additional cost agreed at the time.
- How is payment handled?
- Three payment options: (1) cash in USD or IDR to the driver at end of transfer, exact published rate; (2) card terminal in vehicle accepting Visa, Mastercard, JCB, AMEX with 3% processing fee; (3) advance bank transfer in advance for corporate and repeat-client accounts at the published rate. We do not accept cryptocurrency or split-payment beyond two parts. Receipts are issued by email within 24 hours.
- Can the same driver remain assigned for my entire trip?
- Yes, by default. For multi-day chauffeur retainers we assign one dedicated driver and one dedicated vehicle for the duration of your stay, providing continuity of service quality and familiarity with your preferences. The driver returns home overnight unless you specifically retain him for an evening stay (additional cost). For trips of seven nights or longer we may rotate one rest-day for the driver per week, with a covering driver of equivalent standard.
- Are child seats really included free of charge?
- Yes. Rear-facing infant capsule (0–13 kg), forward-facing convertible seat (9–25 kg), and high-back booster (15–36 kg) are all provided at no extra cost when reserved at booking. Seats are Maxi-Cosi or Britax ISOFIX-compatible, sterilised between hires, and installed by the driver before pickup. We can carry up to three child seats simultaneously in the Toyota Alphard or Mercedes Sprinter. For Mercedes-Benz S-Class we accommodate one rear-facing infant capsule. - Can I split a large group across two vehicles?
- Yes. For groups of six or more we frequently split into two Toyota Alphards rather than one Mercedes Sprinter, particularly for day tours where two smaller vehicles offer routing flexibility. Pricing is per vehicle, so two Alphards cost approximately 1.7x a single Alphard rather than 2x. Both vehicles travel together with synchronised drivers and dispatch contact.
- Will my surfboard or golf bag fit?
- Surfboards up to 7′6″ fit inside the Toyota Alphard with the third-row bench folded. Longboards over 9′ require the Mercedes Sprinter or external roof rack on advance request. Golf bags fit individually in the Alphard boot with one or two passengers; multiple golf bags require Sprinter. We do not carry surfboards or golf bags on the Mercedes-Benz S-Class — the boot is too small. Always notify us at booking so we assign the correct vehicle category.
- Can I connect to the Lembongan, Penida, or Gili ferry from my transfer?
- Yes. The standard route is Ngurah Rai Airport → Sanur Pier (for Lembongan/Penida fast boats) or Ngurah Rai Airport → Padang Bai Pier (for Gili Trawangan fast boats). We deliver you to the pier 60 minutes before your boat departure, assist with luggage to the check-in counter, and confirm departure before our chauffeur leaves. On return, the inverse arrangement is standard. We can also coordinate the boat ticket booking on request. Tickets are settled separately by the booking party.
- Is the service pet-friendly?
- Yes for small pets in carrier (cat, small dog under 10 kg). The pet must travel in a manufacturer-certified carrier and the carrier must remain on the floor or rear seat with a passenger supervising. We require advance notice at booking and apply a $30 cleaning fee on Mercedes-Benz S-Class to cover post-trip detail. Larger pets require a Mercedes Sprinter and case-by-case approval. We do not transport untrained dogs or pets without carriers.
- What is your cancellation policy?
- Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time. Within 12–24 hours of pickup, 25% of the quoted rate is charged. Within 12 hours of pickup or no-show, 50% of the quoted rate is charged. For multi-day chauffeur retainers, the first day is treated as the cancellation reference day. Modifications (vehicle upgrade, additional stop, time change) are accommodated free of charge subject to fleet availability.
- What are your hours of operation?
- Dispatch operates 24/7 for active transfers in progress — your driver is reachable directly at all times. Reservations desk staffed 08:00–22:00 WITA daily. Email reply within 60 minutes during business hours, within 90 minutes overnight. WhatsApp on +62 811 3941 4563 reaches our duty concierge any hour. We operate on Bali public holidays including Galungan, Kuningan, Saraswati, and Nyepi (with Nyepi-day exceptions for emergency airport transfers only by special arrangement).
- Is gratuity expected on top of the published rate?
- No. Driver baseline gratuity is already included in our published rates. Drivers are paid above-market base wages plus this baseline gratuity, so tipping is genuinely voluntary and never expected. Some guests choose to add a discretionary additional tip ($10–30) at the end of an exceptional multi-day retainer, but no driver will request, hint at, or visibly hope for this. We instruct all drivers to politely decline if pressed.
- Can you handle wedding transfers and event shuttles?
- Yes. We are the preferred ground-transport partner for several Bali wedding planners covering Uluwatu cliff venues (Alila Villas Uluwatu, Six Senses Uluwatu, Khayangan Estate, Bvlgari Uluwatu) and northern Tabanan estate venues. We provide multi-vehicle synchronised arrivals, ribboned bridal vehicles, photographer support vehicles, and post-ceremony guest shuttles. Lead time for weddings is 30–60 days minimum to coordinate fleet and driver assignments. Quotes are issued after a planning call with our event-coordination concierge.
- Do you offer corporate accounts and invoicing?
- Yes. Corporate accounts pay by monthly invoice in IDR or USD, with consolidated reporting per booking, employee, project code, or department. Account opening requires a corporate registration document and minimum monthly commitment of 20 transfer hours. Account managers receive direct WhatsApp escalation and priority dispatch. - Which vehicle should I choose for a Bali family of four?
- The Toyota Alphard Executive Lounge is our default recommendation for two adults plus two children. It accommodates two child seats simultaneously, fits four large suitcases plus stroller, and the second-row captain chairs allow a parent to sit alongside a child for the journey. The BMW X7 is an alternative if you prefer the SUV ride height. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is generally not our recommendation for a family of four due to limited luggage capacity. - What languages do your drivers speak?
- All chauffeurs speak Bahasa Indonesia natively and English to a minimum CEFR B2 conversational level. Approximately 30% of our roster also speaks Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, or Korean. We assign language-matched drivers on request at no additional cost subject to availability.
